Blueapple Dental Care is an award-winning practice that provides a range of expert services for private patients and for general practice dentists who refer their patients to the practice. Situated in the heart of Belcoo, this boutique practice aims to provide a comfortable and relaxing experience for our patients, from the moment they walk through the door.

The latest piece of equipment that’s been installed within the practice is a CBCT scanner, enabling the team to effectively plan and treat new and existing patients.
By allowing the team to take 3D images in less than two minutes for potential new cases this will aid in implant treatment.
What drew you towards working at this particular practice, and how long have you been working here?
What drew me towards working here was the excellent reputation that his practice holds. I started working here as a Dental Nurse in 2015 and knew by joining the Blueapple team I would gain a wealth of knowledge and experience which would enable me to excel in my role. I later became the Practice Manager in 2020.
What’s your favourite thing about working at this practice?
My favourite aspect of working in Blueapple is leading this award-winning team. The team here are all extremely hard working and a dream to lead. Michael Crilly holds the title of ‘Best Young Dentist 2020’ and the practice has recently won ‘Best Patient Care’ and ‘Practice of the year 2020’. I feel extremely privileged to have the opportunity to be their manager. We have beautiful spacious modern surgeries and the most up to date digital scanner including out new CBCT scanner.

Are there any stand out points in terms of where this practice is located?
Blueapple is situated in a small village on the cavan border. Across the bridge is celebrity Neven Magruire’s very well known restaurant called MacNean House. There’s also a scenic cottage meadow by the lake, just a one minute walk from our practice which is beautiful for lunch time walks or a picnic.
What words of advice or encouragement would you give to those looking to follow a career in dentistry?
Working in dentistry is extremely rewarding. If you are a caring and compassionate individual, you will have great job satisfaction working in a dental practice. To be part of a dental team you need to be willing to reassure anxious patients, take care of them during their treatment and have a passion for providing information on oral health. You will need to be willing to work as part of a team and be able to communicate effectively with the general public and team members.
