Tanya Gilmore, will be taking a break from her day job at Blueapple Dental Care, and travelling to Nepal where she will be providing dental care to the local communities.
Tanya has been with the practice for 13 years, during which time she has developed her skills as a dental hygienist, a role focused on preventing and treating gum disease.
Organised by dental charity Oral Care for Developing Counties, Tanya’s volunteering trip to Nepal this September will include visiting a remote village in Gorha to provide oral hygiene treatments and oral health education to those who would otherwise not have access to it.
Tanya is also seeking fundraising support to help cover the cost of her trip, as well as donations of dental products, such as toothpastes and toothbrushes, to take with her. Donations are being welcomed either in person at Blueapple Dental Care, Railway Road in Belcoo, or online here.
