Our aim is as simple as it comes – to deliver the best patient care in the industry. Yes, it’s a big ask, but we achieve it by putting our patients and you at the heart of everything we do.
We want Bupa Dental Care to be the brand of choice for patients, clinicians and for people who want to build a lasting career.
We’ve chosen to provide services via the NHS and privately, giving patients real flexibility and freedom of choice. It’s also good for our business, giving us a mix of stability via the NHS and the scope to grow our business across the private side of things.
Our focus on the future means we look to invest in the development of our teams, giving our people access to the latest digital technologies, career pathway development and funded training.
As the only corporate dental provider in the UK not backed by private equity, we’re in a unique position. We’re committed to the UK dental industry for the long-term and are ready to treat not just today’s patients, but generations to come.
We’re a limited liability company, we have no shareholders, so we’re able to focus 100% on delivering a great service for our customers. We run commercially to remain competitive, but Bupa reinvests 100% of its profits to help provide better care for patients across the world.
At Bupa, our purpose is to help people to live longer, healthier, happier lives. We do this by putting our patients at the heart of everything, by empowering our people to provide the highest standards of care and by constantly looking to improve upon everything we do. In Bupa Dental Care, we want to become the industry’s go-to brand – a thought leader redefining what exceptional dental care looks like.
We offer the size and scale of a large organisation with the inspiring feel of a company that’s been built around delivering world-class patient care.

Setting clear goals to improve the dental health of our patients.
We’re driven by what dental care should be. As part of that, we’re involved in a number of NHS pilots.
We use our UK-wide network to share industry-leading knowledge.
We have seven company values that we each live by. Learn about them here.
Technological advances continue at pace, particularly when it comes to intraoral scanning (all our orthodontic sites have scanners). Working with suppliers and our network of laboratories, we’re embracing technological developments to improve the Bupa Dental Care experience for our teams and patients alike. Our practices are all computerised, have digital radiography and the ability to use our online laboratory system to make the ordering and delivery process both efficient and transparent.
As one of the largest providers of dental care, we give our teams access to an extensive consumables list comprising some 4,000 products. We continually review this list with the major dental companies as new materials and systems are developed. We also have our own network of labs. It’s all about making sure we have everything we need to deliver the highest standards across both general dental practice and specialist care.
It’s always been a priority for our practices to be hygienic and safe. That’s why we have a bespoke online audit tool which supports our practices from a compliance perspective. It allows us to achieve full compliance with regulators across all our regions – CQC, RQIA, HIW, HIS AND HSE.
Our clinical and practice support teams take responsibility for maintaining our high standards by employing thorough governance protocols, including audits, reviews and NHS guidance. It all means you’ll be able to fully focus on delivering exceptional care to our patients.
