I’m originally from Poland, and my career in dentistry actually started accidentally. In 2001 I was qualified as a teacher but couldn’t find a job in that profession, so I started working in a Specialist Dental Practice as a Receptionist. Soon I found the clinical part more interesting and became a Dental Nurse.
After five years as a Dental Nurse, my husband was offered a job in the UK and so I decided to follow him here and applied for a position at Manchester Malt House and I’ve been here since 2007. Over the last 13 years I’ve met so many fantastic people that became part of the Malt House family.
“Because English is my second language I had a huge amount of help from all my team members, they helped me correct my grammar and made me laugh as I adjusted to the British sense of humour.”
Because English is my second language I had a huge amount of help from all of my team members, they helped me correct my grammar and made me laugh as I adjusted to the British sense of humour. We are like one big dental family.
Dentistry is my hobby and passion and I can’t imagine working somewhere and not being happy with what I do. I think if you do whatever you do with passion and commitment it will be successful, and this is why I love working for Bupa because they give everyone the opportunity to improve. The development opportunities provide an endless amount of training, meaning that we can always deliver 5* service to our patients.
“People outside think that when you work for a corporate you’re just a number, but you’re not. I love my job and feel very comfortable working here, as a team we support each other on a daily basis and always feel like we have support from Bupa.”
